TOTAL E&P Americas, LLC located in Houston, Texas, has an immediate opening for Sr. Explorationists to join our newly created Exploration Hub.
As part of the New Ventures team focusing on the Americas region, the Sr. Explorationist will contribute to exploration programs, by means of GG&R data synthesis at regional, sub-regional, and prospect scales. Under the guidance of the Manager, the Sr. Explorationist will evaluate new business opportunities based on technical geosciences studies.
Perform geophysical or/& geological studies and interpretation resulting in the estimation of prospective resources, probability of success, and risks assessment.
Rank prospects, drilling candidates, and new ventures opportunities.
Participate and provide input to the definition of the exploration strategy.
Participate in reservoir prospect and development studies and economic simulation.
Work with a high degree of autonomy and maturity concerning G&G analysis
Minimum 7 years of geosciences experience in oil and gas companies
Minimum Master’s degree in geology, geophysics, or related field
Previous experience working in new ventures a plus
Fluent English required, Spanish and French a plus
Motivated multicultural team player, ability to listen and influence decision making. Excellent communication, presentation skills and cross-functionality is desired.
