Activities:Ensures expertise in the team concerning Geophysical Methods (lithoseismic, modeling, AVO analysis, etc).Performs geophysical studies and interpretations in order to estimate prospective resources and probabilities of success.Identify and rank drillable prospects within non-operated assets and new venture opportunities.Contributes to the technical follow-up on geophysical studies performed externally (acquisition, processing, AVO, etc.).Realizes Regional synthesis using all available G&G; dataParticipates to technical presentations with partners, and with local authorities in representation of TOTAL.
Context and environment
Job is carried out within the multicultural Americas Exploration HUB based in Houston. The environment is high speed and requires multi scale capacities (long term projects and short term operational capacities). Requires team spirit, organizational and priority skills. Requires working with partners, contractors, local authorities.
Excellent interpersonal and technical level in key exploration techniques especially in seismic interpretation and reservoir characterization
MsC or PhD in Geophysics or equivalent
Minimum 7 years of experience in Exploration/New Ventures, with experience in the Guyana Basin
Soft skills: good listener, team player, ability to influence and convince, open-mindedness
Candidate has to be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
