This role requires diverse experience in the field of Geosciences and is for a major oil company in Malaysia where the incumbent will be responsible for integrated prospect evaluation and resource assessment with modern technology, maturing prospects and make decision for optimally drilling them cost effectively.
Conducts work to evaluate the petroleum system elements - source rock, reservoir, trap, seal and timing.
Conducts qualitative and quantitative "Quick Look" analyses to recognize reservoir properties and type of hydrocarbon pay- calculate porosity, Rw and Sw using Archie Method.
Use of seismic attributes DHIs, QI, and basic AVO in geological interpretation.
Ability to recognize and interpret seismic reflection characteristics ,reflection terminations and facies configuration and its relationship to depositional systems, accommodation space, relative sea-level and sediment supply.
Developed or participated in study that constructed a clastic or carbonate sedimentary depositional model.
Understands the application of "cut-off" volumes, risk assessment - types and levels of risk, interdependency of prospect, and differences between play and prospect level risks.
B.Sc. in Geology, Geophysics, Physics or related field
Minimum of 8 years of experience
