Lynx Energy has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Exploitation Engineer. This role is based in Calgary and will report directly to the Vice President of Engineering, Operations and Geoscience. This position is a key member of the team and will be responsible for subsurface characterization of the Edmonton CBM/sands, Belly River CBM/sands, Viking and Mannville formations to identify opportunities to improve recovery and increase present value of the asset through: decline analysis, well spacing evaluation, type curve generation, risk and uncertainty management, basic log interpretation and in place resource assessment.Lynx Energy is committed to ensuring we conduct our activities in a manner that will protect the health and safety of our employees, contractors and the public. All positions at Lynx Energy require a commitment to high levels of excellence in respect to HSE.Key ResponsibilitiesMulti-disciplinary collaboration with the GG&E; team to identify, assess, and evaluate economics of growth opportunities including M&A; deals, landsales, swaps, farm-ins and new zone appraisalsWork closely with land to evaluate and make recommendations on expiries and offsetsPreparation of the annual budget, quarterly production forecasting and associated capital tracking to monitor actual performance versus budget while communicating and managing risks, opportunities and deviations to the planLead the reserves process as the single point of contact for the 3rd party independent auditors to ensure accurate, comprehensive and timely completion of the Corporate reserve report. Generate mid-year report through ValNav softwareBuild and maintain an inventory of execution ready optimization projectsComplete look backs of capital programs; make recommendations to improve well performance and reduce capitalBuild & maintain relationships with competitor companies, monitor and influence non-op DCET and optimization activityParticipate in Production/Operations well reviews to identify opportunities to reduce costs, increase production, reduce downtime and streamline processesOther duties as assignedEssential Experience & Skills10+ years of experience within the upstream oil and gas industry, in both production and exploitation roles.
