Job Role Summary
Job Responsibilities:
Software development and support for seismic processing applications
Implement, enhance, and/or improve upstream business scientific software applications with delivery to the desktop and web
Collaborate with seismic processing researchers, computational scientists to take prototype research code and commercialize them in vendors and internal framework within the bounds of existing frameworks
Support internal business clients on issues resolution in a global operations environment
Job Requirements:
Master’s degree from a recognized university in in Applied Physics, Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering
Strong numerical analysis skill
A minimum of two to four years experience working in a scientific/technical computing environment is a requirement. Working experience with scientific computing packages, such as FFTW, MKL, Lapack, is a plus
Strong Knowledges in programming in C++ or C and OOAD is critical.
Experience in using STL and Boost libraries
Capable of understanding software constructs and its implication on the hardware.
A minimum of two to four years experience working in a scientific/technical computing environment is a requirement.
Working experience with scientific computing packages, such as FFTW, MKL, Lapack, is a plus.
Parallel programming skill in the HPC environment will be valuable
Prior experience in seismic processing software development or geoscience domain is a plus
Experience in industries like AutoCAD or Mathworks will be helpful
Communication and collaboration with researchers and software development team in Houston
Flexibility in work schedule
Experience in supporting global operations environment
Flexible with domestic and international travel
