Responsibilities Responsible for performing tasks relating to geological duties across a broad cross-section of disciplines Able to load import/export 2d/3d seismic data along with all well data into various geological and geophysical software packages Assist in training and mentoring beginner and mid-level Geological Technicians Must have advanced knowledge of data management as it relates to geological well data and log data. Technical Qualifications • Must have expert working knowledge of data and system administration (i.e.) geological and geophysical file structure • Strong organizational skills • Able to perform geological mapping tasks • Able to generate geological cross-sections and montages • Must have the ability to track and update wells while drilling • Knowledge of ArcGis mapping • Blue Marble Geodetic software for geo-referencing • Geolog/Paradigm software • I.H.S EDIN and GEPS reports online • Working knowledge of Petrel Studio • Import/export well data and seismic volumes using the Kingdom and Petrel software packages • Able to download data from various FTP and research sites • Able to create and load seismic, well, culture, log curves and time-depth charts into the Petrel and Kingdom software packages. Education • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, or related Geoscience discipline preferred but not essential • Experience level a minimum of ten years without degree, with degree a minimum of five years.
