Seismic Data Acquisition Supervisor
Position (job title)
PURPOSES & ACTIVITIES
To supervise the acquisition of the 2D/3D surface or borehole seismic surveys and Grav-Mag, with the responsibility to meet the technical and economic objectives of the project.
To ensure the acquisition activities are executed in accordance with contract requirements and technical specifications.
To monitor the performances of the Service Company and the quality of the acquired data.
To verify the Service Company time accounting.
To guarantee the proper storage and delivery to the client of field data and other related information.
To ensure compliance with Company HSE standards and procedures for the activities of competence.
To compile reporting to functional Line.
Professionals of Technical and HSE departments
Customer, Service providers
Degree in Geology, Geophysics, Professional Engineering, Physics, Technical High School Diploma.
Training and Courses
Seismic acquisition technologies, seismic processing workflow, geodetic surveying, HSE regulations.
Qualified safety and sea survival courses (i.e. BOSIET/OPITO).
Good knowledge of written and spoken English
The position requires field assignment (offshore and onshore), rotation shifts, day operations
EXPERIENCES & COMPETENCES
Advanced in planning geophysical surveys and basic in time data processing and geodetic surveying.
Advanced in bid, tender and contract strategies.
Familiarity with budgeting and cost control.
Familiarity with Company HSE standards and Local HSE Regulations and legislation of ROK.
Required Technical Skills
Ability to provide guidance and advice on seismic acquisition issues.
Show consistency and assertiveness when making decisions.
Capability to assess the requirements of the activity and verify the quality of delivered results.
Effective practice in relation to the storage, retrieval and delivery of survey data.
Ability to prepare accurate reports in a timely and effective manner.
Commitment to Company HSE policy and Local HSE Regulations.
Capability to use following software:
Office (Word, Exel; PowerPoint)
SURVOPT or equivalent (Survey planner)
VISTA or equivalent system (QC data recording)
ION MESA or equivalent system
A minimum 5 years’ experience in seismic acquisition with the most advanced instrumentations.
Preferably documented experience in working in operational assignments such as the North Caspian Sea transitional/shallow water environment.
