Seismic Capability Engineer
The seismic capability engineer will be working closely alongside the Piping & Structural Integrity team in charge of engineering & designing mechanical structure & components of nuclear power plants & industries. Engineer will be in close interaction with senior engineers, working in a team of around thirty engineers.
Designing & calculating nuclear related structures that may be subject to earthquake
Able to perform analyses on structures using FEM codes
Actively participate in analysis of nuclear structures & its components when subject to earthquake
Performing screening walk-downs in the projects; including HCLPF capacity calculations, and simplified/detailed seismic fragility analyses for structures & components.
Mechanical or Structural-Civil engineer with significant experience in structural analysis & design.
Candidate is familiar with International standards; Eurocodes & American standards included (ASME, ASCE, AISC, ACI, USNRP (SRP & RG) etc.)
Ability to predict response of structure subject to static & dynamic pressures
Candidate experienced in general purpose Finite Element & structural codes, such as ANSYS for static/dynamic loads, with regard to linear or non-linear analysis.
Background in seismic assessment of structures (Category I & other is required)
Experienced seismic margin assessor, with SMA and/or SPSA
Nuclear domain & safety knowledge
Languages; Dutch & English or French
