Role synopsis
The Seismic Acquisition Manager will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of the AGT Region seismic acquisition program, with specific near-term focus on the planned high-density ocean bottom node (HD OBN) survey at ACG in 2019. This is a temporary role with the possibility of further extension.
Key accountabilities
Delivery of seismic acquisition projects, either directly managed by themselves or supervising less-experienced project managers, which shall include:Working with the Seismic Delivery Manager, individual project managers, Geophysical Discipline Lead in-Region, other Applied Geophysicists and project geophysicists to define objectives, develop project Scope of Work, timing and cost estimates for the seismic surveys.Developing and implementing project organisations / resource plansDeveloping and tracking project budgets and delivery timelinesEnsuring project risk are assessed and controls / mitigations are in-place to manage risk to the appropriate levelEnsuring finances are tracked, spend and VOWD monitored, manage invoicing and ensure project remains in budget.Managing the contracting/PSCM activities. Managing all contractor interactions and activities Ensuring all permits required to carry out the operations are received.Working with Region Operations, Project and Logistics teams, HSSE teams, Marine and Aviation Authorities to ensure safe and efficient operations.Acting as BP representative, planning, managing and coordinating the seismic QA/QC and the field operations. Providing assurance throughout the project to ensure technical and HSSE are delivered as promised in the contract.Monitoring and reporting on project progress and ensure project is completed safely and closed out in an appropriate time frame.Providing coaching and support to less experienced project managers
Essential Education
-Minimum BSc in Geophysics or closely related discipline.-NEBOSH International General Certificate
Essential experience and job requirements
At least 15 years upstream oil & gas industry experience, a significant part of which will have been spent working with an operating companyWill have managed, from start to finish, several seismic acquisition projects in a range of operating environments, but with a focus on Marine and/or OBN acquisition. Has detailed knowledge and experience in the implementation of the bp MoGO UDP or IOGP Reports 210, 423 and 432.Azerbaijani citizenship

Desirable criteria & qualifications
Recent experience with OBN operations, simultaneous source acquisition, and rigging of vessels of opportunity / mobilisation from cold-stack.Recent experience supporting and coaching less-experienced geophysicists, and working with non-geophysicists in the delivery of complex seismic acquisition projects
