Our client, one of the largest fully integrated oil & gas companies, has facilities and operations all around the globe. They growing their multidisciplinary teams in their Unconventional Program and looking to hire a top Clastic Sedimentologist. This position will be a long-term resident expat based position located in the Middle East region. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES: Sedimentologist - Unconventional Reservoirs - Resident ExpatDevelop and promote sedimentological best practices across the unconventional resource teamDevelopment of basin and reservoir exploration models and 3-D static geological modelsConduct detailed sedimentological investigations, draw conclusions, and make recommendations to support asset evaluationsEstablish detail sequence stratigraphic and depositional environment models for unconventional reservoirs in clastic systemsIntegration of all available data to provide analysis of well data in terms of sedimentary architecture, facies, and depositional environmentESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Sedimentologist - Unconventional Reservoirs - Resident ExpatBS in Geology; MS/PhD preferred10+ years of oil & gas experience primarily with unconventional reservoirsStrong experience with geological software; Petrel, Openwork's/DSSExperience with geo-steering and working in Real Time Operations CentersExperience with the integration of sedimentology, depositional environments, petrophysics, and geomechanicsStrong communication and presentation skillsEstablished in 1978, NES Global Talent provides a complete range of contract and permanent talent solutions to the Oil and Gas, Power, Construction and Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Manufacturing and IT sectors worldwide.
