As a Resource Development Geoscientist you will be involved in framing, building and reviewing integrated reservoir models. The position requires documented knowledge in a broad range of methods across geo-scientific disciplines which are necessary to build integrated static reservoir models. These must include the application of common stratigraphic method, the application of structural geology technologies, geo-statistics an geophysical reservoir characterization. We are looking for a skilled Geologist or Geophysicist and Geo-model builder who can demonstrate experience with project maturation processes.
Duties and responsibilities
Plan, frame, carry out and review integrated reservoir modeling projects
Work in a team of experienced reservoir modelers
Support the definition of operational needs for reservoir models in exploration and development studies
Participate in improving and/or initiating corporate best practice approaches in geological modeling and reservoir characterization
Ensure all opportunities are progressed in compliance with Stage Gate Process
Implement best practice principles and techniques in the area of subsurface management
Use probabilistic simulation work flows to estimate ranges in field performance forecasts and reserves
Share information across the Development and Operations Department
Represent PGNiG in selected License Committees
Provide support in exploration and license acquisitions
Master of Science or Ph.D. degree
Personal qualities
Experience with modeling of fractured chalk reservoirs is beneficial
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written English and Norwegian
Ability to work under pressure and with deadlines
Broad business understanding, and documented achieved business results
At least eight years of E&P; experience
