Calgary, ABPart-timeConcourse Petroleum is seeking a reservoir/development engineer to join our team, starting with a part-time basis then may convert to full time. Looking for a P.Eng with over 15 years of Reservoir Engineering experience, with a minimum of 5 years of horizontal drilling experience in Montney and Duvernay formation in the WCSB. The role will support production operations, appraisals and potential development projects across multiple conventional and unconventional fields. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing reservoir and production engineering projects, writing applications to regulatory agencies, estimating reserves and forecasting production.Key Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesBe innovative to extract value from core oil & gas assets and assist in defining upside exploration opportunitiesConduct dynamic data analysis and performs post-well evaluations of projected reserves and productionForecast performance and develop economic models that connect the activities associated with development plans to financial outcomesUse appropriate reservoir models, including reservoir simulation, to assist in reservoir optimization and reserves estimationMonitor the implementation of surveillance plan and be the main point of contact on the reservoir development for reservoir characterization and field appraisal effortsWork in a multi-disciplined asset management team to identify and develop new exploration drilling opportunities and develop a plan to capture new opportunities / add valueProvide reservoir engineering and economic evaluation to support fast-paced drilling operations and work closely with drilling, completions, and production teamsKeep surveillance wells & fields to ensure optimal production ratesMonitor and analyze expenses and productionDeliver presentations and effectively communicate with managementRequired qualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher degree in engineering is required, preferably in Petroleum, Chemical or MechanicalRegistered as a professional engineerAt least five years ‘experience in WCSB applying fundamental reservoir and production engineering principles to field-wide Oil &Gas; developmentReserves estimation & production forecasting using decline curve analysis and analog type curvesStrong communication skills and aptitude for working in a team environmentProficiency in the software of Petrel or other petroleum economics software would be an assetPreferred qualifications: Broad knowledge in horizontal well drilling, completions, and reservoir stimulation technologies with an understanding of multistage fracturing in rich Montney and Duvernary shale plays would be an assetExperience with non-associated dry gas/LNG operationsMulti-disciplinary approach and collaboration with geoscience counterparts to understand drainage patterns and depletion across reservoir targetsDetails about work type and salary will be discussed during the interview.We thank all applicants in advance for their interest; however, only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
