The purpose of the laboratory is to characterize the phenomena involved at the interface between the well and the reservoir. This work allows the definition of technical solutions to be implemented in order to maximize well productivity. The laboratory is attached to the Drilling and Wells division.
You report to the head of the Reservoir Wellbore Interface Laboratory.
As a Reservoir Wellbore Interface Laboratory Technician, you have the following tasks:
Carry out experimental studies on behalf of affiliates and R&D; in accordance with the Head of Laboratory instructions.
Collect data, rock samples, chemicals needed for the tests.
Analyze and Interpret the results
Draft and present the results
Contact the providers of chemicals and equipment.
Propose and/or participate in setting up new experiments.
Contribute to the subcontracting of certain laboratory activities.
Participate in and Conceive new pilots or test beds (design, subcontractor management, reception, pilot execution).
Lead and supervise the service providers’ work (maintenance, metrology, testing, and interpretation)
Participate in the process of capital equipment acquisition: technical specifications definition, call for tenders, reception, commissioning).
Manage the archiving of data and results from experiments.
Draft and update the technical documentation of the service (operating procedures for each new device, experience sheets ...).
Contribute to follow-up and continuation of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification of the laboratory, and 5S (LEAN Process) organization in the RWI laboratory.
Promote HSE culture, apply HSE improvements in collaboration with HSE service.
Graduated from a technician training institute or hold a bachelor degree relevant to the position technical area.
You have at least 3 years’ experience in porous media/fluids/petro-physical laboratory analysis and operations.
Good fluency in English and in French (both spoken and written) is essential.
