The institute focus on Solve the petroleum engineering problems by technology research and technological innovation, aiming to become a petroleum engineering institute which has its own characteristics, strong ability to innovate and international competitiveness.POSITION:*Reservoir Simulation Senior Software Engineer*Responsible for research and development (R&D;) of software modules such as reservoir evaluation, hydraulic fracture propagation simulation, post-frac evaluation and productivity prediction. Architecture design for high-performance computation, data management, user-friendly interfaces and other aspects of software engineering are also included.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for reservoir simulation software architecture design and development.Design and implement customer-friendly interfaces.Develop and optimize application modules in collaboration with application specialistsCommunicate and collaborate with other SRIPE's software modules on integration of reservoir simulation software, into SRIPE’s larger software platformsResponsible for preparing technical reports for management and other parties as required.Complete quality projects timely and within constraints of budget requirements.Collaborate with team members in geology, logging, reservoir simulation engineering and other disciplinesPromote and abide by company health, safety and environmental policies.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: Must have solid understanding of rock mechanical, fracture propagation numerical simulation and related technologies.Solid computer science background and skills in software architecture, systems design, high performance computing, and user-interface design.Familiarity with OpenGL and high performance computing systems.Familiarity with numerical calculation methods, PDE solving technology, the theory of extended finite element method (XFEM) or discrete element method (DEM), and experience with CAE solver development is a strong plus.Ability to track, analyze new technology trends, and write clear in-depth reports.Strong ability to meet deadlines and manage time efficiently while multi-tasking.Team player with good interpersonal communication skills.Professional attitude and demeanor in dealing with all levels of staff, vendors and customers.Master’s Degree in computer sciences or related disciplines (mathematics, physics, engineering mechanics, computational mechanics, solid-fluid mechanics) obtained from an accredited university.Minimum 5+ years’ experience in petroleum engineering working in the oil and gas industry.Must have 3-5 years of calculation software development or finite element software experience working. Including: Abaqus/Ansys/Flac3D.Must have 5+ years working with any of the following language: C/C++, Matlab.Job Type: Full-timeExperience:Software Engineering: 3 years
