The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide reservoir engineering support to the company which includes but is not limited to; reserves determination, project economics, project optimization, asset acquisitions and divestitures, engineering studies and reservoir simulation. Successful incumbent must be able to work in a team environment to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recommends solutions to a variety of complex business development and technical problems based on experience.
Analyze and prepare well package forecasts, advanced economics and presentation materials for regular approval meetings.
Work as a part of the development team to generate and refine the 18-month development plan including appraisal and test packages and the impact on future well inventory. Checks progress against schedule and monitors against quality standards.
Provides Reservoir Engineering Studies of key well performance parameters such as completion design, well spacing & stacking, and well clean-up & choke management. Prepare acquisition and divestiture analysis of working interests and mineral interests.
Prepare reserve/economic analysis for budgets, year-end SEC reserve reports and acquisition evaluations.
Work as a team member with other members and disciplines including other reservoir engineers, geologists, geophysicists, production engineers, landmen, administration personnel and field personnel.
Makes independent decisions in planning, organizing, and completing technical assignments.
Recognizes safety and environmental significance related to actions.
Advises on technical problems and may be required to plan, schedule and review work of less experienced engineers and technicians.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
BS Degree in Engineering is required.
Must have 10+ years of industry experience.
Must have familiarity of the Permian Basin.
Must have experience performing reservoir engineering studies.
Excellent computer skills and able to effectively work and communicate in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Must be fluent in and Excel; familiar with Access.
Proficient experience in Aries and Spotfire.
Must have excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
Must have strong horizontal and multiple-stage completion experience.
Meet all project schedules, deliverables, and milestones as outlined in work plans.
Incumbent must be self-motivated, take the initiative to accomplish work and take ownership of projects assigned.
Effective decision based on the understanding of both financial impact and company objectives.

Bachelors or better in Petroleum Engineering.
10-17 years: Must have 10+ years of industry experience.
