Endeavor Energy Resources, LP is a privately held company with over 300,000 net acres in the Midland Basin, North America’s most active basin. Endeavor’s highly strategic and desired asset base is unable to be replicated today’s and is the cornerstone for the company’s rapid growth. Endeavor has been a successful vertical driller in the Permian Basin, and surrounding basins, over the last 40 years but refocused its strategy to a horizontal drilling program. The company is rapidly growing and evolving as it works towards its mission of becoming a top tier Midland Basin horizontal operator. To date, Endeavor has drilled over 250 horizontal wells and currently has 9 rigs dedicated to the horizontal program. The work environment is informal, innovative and fast paced.
This position is part of a multi-disciplinary Asset team that supports an active horizontal drilling program. The role will identify how to continuously improve the performance of proven zones as well as to evaluate less proven zones in the Midland Basin. The successful candidate will be able to integrate engineering datasets, including production, pressure, fluid behavior, and completion data for management recommendations and to mentor staff.
Recommend to management development plans and AFEs for multi-well horizontal pad development that meet commercial and business requirements
Analyze and predict well performance and perform reservoir surveillance to determine future production optimization
Rapidly generate insights from new (operated and competitor) drilling results
Ability to assess an asset through volumetrics, decline curve analysis, and rate or pressure transient analysis
Provides economic assessment of future drilling and optimization opportunities
Work with a team of Geologists and Production Engineers to integrate data sets including reservoir behavior and well performance
Meet all project schedules, deliverables and milestones as outlined in work plans
Assist in mentoring and on-the-job training of less experienced team members
Actively participate and manage data acquisition, interpretation and evaluation
Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering required
Minimum of fifteen (15) years of Reservoir Engineer experience required
Strong Spotfire, PHDWin and Fekete (or similar) skills required
Demonstrated experience in oil and gas reserve estimations using SEC rules, decline curve analysis, economic evaluations and production surveillance required
Familiarity of the Permian Basin preferred
