Job description  
Working in a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible to:

Lead various simulation studies in support of Imperial’s in-situ heavy oil assets (development and production) as member of reservoir engineering team
Work with the geoscience team to build 2D and 3D thermal simulation models
Analyze and model in-situ production data
Generate long-term production forecasts at well and pad level
Run sensitivity studies to understand key performance uncertainties
Communicate results to technical team and management
Develop and improve thermal simulation practices to be shared across multiple reservoir engineering teams

Qualifications  
Academic:

Candidate should have obtained a Masters or PhD in Petroleum Engineering, or equivalent program

 
Other:

Experience with thermal reservoir simulation (CMG STARS, Schlumberger ECLIPSE, and/or equivalents)
Effective written and oral communication skills
Outstanding academic records and demonstrated research skills through an innovative PhD or MS research thesis
