Role Summary:
Baker Hughes, a GE company is seeking a Specialised Reservoir Navigation Services Engineer to be based in Oman
Essential Responsibilities:
Provides direct instruction to Client, LWD Field Engineers & Directional Drillers on Specialized Well Placement & Reservoir Navigation requirements using Baker Hughes’ Reservoir Navigation System (RNS) Software and Systems.
Integrates data and performs interpretation and analysis using appropriate, state-of-the-art techniques & modelling to provide Best in Class solutions for the client.
Provides advice and direction to external customer and third-party wellsite colleagues as appropriate.
Provides resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex problems where analysis of data requires having specific knowledge of the Baker Hughes’ Drilling, LWD and/or Coiled Tubing Systems & Services.
Work is evaluated upon completion by a Field Supervisor (where appropriate), local Operations Management and the external Customer to ensure objectives have been met.
Expected to maintain frequent intra-organizational and external customer contacts with a high degree of professionalism.
Executes other related duties and special projects as assigned.
Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values

Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Geoscience or related earth science discipline or Petroleum Engineering with minimum 4 years relevant work experience or Master's Degree in Geoscience or related Earth science or Petroleum Engineering discipline with minimum 2 years relevant work experience.
Minimum Four years’ experience as an MWD/ LWD Field Engineer (preferably familiar with Baker Hughes tools) or Geoscientist involved with LWD Log QC & Analysis

Desired Characteristics:
Develop and demonstrate proficiency in the skill profile required for the delivery of Reservoir Navigation Services at the Well site, Client Offices or any other location as may be required.
Successfully complete additional advanced technical training and assigned well site development programs.
Strong communication and inter-personal skills; excellent customer awareness.
Ability to relate to well site personnel at all levels, strong team member, and demonstrate leadership capability.
Excellent problem solving skills with a drive for results.
Must be action oriented, ethical in value, and have a strong client focus.
Must be able to work both independently and as part of multi-disciplined teams working with an extensive client base.
Demonstrates competency in all aspects of his/her discipline.
Has awareness of competitor wireline/LWD technologies/measurements.
