Reservoir Geologist

The Company is seeking a Geological focal point within the DNO Development team providing geological input to the development team and geological modelling support in the development of DNO’s Kurdistan main producing assets. Key Responsibilities :
  • Maintain (and possible construction of) 3D reservoir geological model of DNO’s main producing assets
  • Integrate new wells, geologic, geophysical, petrophysical and dynamic data in the reservoir model
  • Oversee field development geological activities and contribute to improving field subsurface understanding
  • Will work across a multidiscipline team and will be the focal point for the geological understanding of the reservoir
  • Super user for Petrel and support the group on the application usage
  • Engagement in ongoing geological studies with the corporate subsurface group

Required Qualifications & Experience :

  • 5+ years experience in the E&P Industry
  • Specialist within the discipline of analysis and reservoir modelling of fractured carbonates
  • Experienced in reservoir characterization of carbonate reservoirs through cores and well logs
  • Understanding of key carbonate subsurface uncertainties and its impact to the reservoir behavior
  • Good understanding of static reservoir characterization and 3D modelling techniques
  • Experienced user of Petrel especially structural and petrophysical modeling processes. Knowledge of The Kingdom Software is advantageous but not a requirement
  • Experienced in seismic interpretation
  • Knowledge and understanding of other subsurface disciplines

  • Initiative and desire to learn and expand within role
  • Moderate business travel required
