Description

The Reservoir Engineer is responsible for performing/supervising reservoir studies and reservoir simulation work in relation to appraisal, development, well planning and production. MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for/leading reservoir engineering evaluations of operated and non-operated assets as required
Responsible for reservoir characterization and dynamic reservoir modelling as required
Contribute to BOR reserves estimation
Represent Neptune in the Reservoir Committees as required
Represent Neptune in license nominated work groups
Support reservoir work related to exploration and license acquisitions as required
Continuously keep up to date on developments related to reservoir engineering
Maintain basic knowledge also in adjacent functions like reservoir geology and production technology
Represent Neptune in professional communities (conferences, work groups etc.)
Direct and support team members so that they achieve to their abilities
Is expected to lead work of high complexity and to lead ad hoc projects
Knowledgeable in other skills beyond primary field of expertise
Provide mentoring, leadership and support for younger engineers in reservoir related areas
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL INTERFACES
The reservoir engineer will work in cross-discipline teams with colleagues from different departments
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
Offshore travels may be expected
REQUIRED COMPETENCES/ PROFILE
Higher relevant university degree. In special cases relevant work experience may compensate for limited formal education
Sound understanding of relevant technologies
Maintain personal expertise and know how through own development and sharing/development of best practices and methods
The job requires to have multidisciplinary awareness and understanding of contributions by other discipline in the wider organization
Communication skills requires understanding, influencing and supporting through the application of technical knowledge or rational arguments
Requires typically a minimum of 5-year experience from the Oil & Gas industry - The seleced candidates competence will decide level of position.
