Encana has an exciting opportunity to join the Eagle Ford Team in the Texas Operating Area. The team is looking for a Reservoir Technologist who can provide support to our Eagle Ford team members. The role is ideally suited for a candidate with a proven track record of accomplishments who seeks to leverage their experience within a dynamic, team-based and rewarding culture. The position reports to the Eagle Ford Development Manager.
Maintain ARIES database, including setting up new wells, status updates on existing wells and following up on necessary missing inputs.
Set-up side databases to run economics, support opportunity evaluation and develop type curves.
Maintain and update reserves database for quarterly and year-end updates.
Develop, maintain and steward multiple team reports and reporting functions. Maintain KPI metrics and reporting.
Build, maintain and run economic models for project evaluation and approval, budgeting and value assessments.
Assist with maintaining development drill schedule.
Assist with forecasts relative to budget by compiling monthly program capital and production.
Regularly cross-reference multiple systems for data integrity and consistency.
Gather, organize and maintain data in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
Support the team in maintaining and tracking development plans to ensure the team meets expectations.
Assist team by building PowerPoint presentation slides for any of the above listed duties.
Accommodate special requests by other team members.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or equivalent is preferred.
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a Reservoir Technologist.
Demonstrated ability to extract, manipulate and analyze extensive amounts of data and information quickly and accurately.
High level of agility; a quick learner with a strong desire to adapt and improve processes with new methods and technologies.
Possess good communication skills to facilitate problem solving between varying groups within the team.
Ability to function in a multi-discipline team environment.
Proficient in Excel, Power Point, Access, ARIES, Mosaic, Spotfire, R and SQL server.
Must be organized, detail-oriented, motivated, self-starter with strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to prioritize workload independently while maintaining critical quality assurance of own work.
Experience with Canadian reserves protocol is preferred.
Currently eligible or able to obtain clearance to work in the United States.
