Reservoir Engineering Technician
The Reservoir Engineering Technician will be responsible for working on a multi-disciplined team providing technical support and analysis. This individual must be a team player and will be responsible for maintaining and populating engineering databases, supporting analytical work and coordinating the integration of various reservoirs and client field reviews.
-Gather data for reservoir surveillance, volumetric calculations and production history matching
-Support preparation, execution and follow-up for reservoir analyses and well reviews
-Gather and manage data of new wells for pre and post-performance analyses
-Perform basic decline curve analysis for forecasting, type well analysis, and documentation of decline parameters for various reservoirs
-Gather and populate information in rate transient analysis models for engineering evaluations
-Assist Engineering staff with data management and integration support of pertinent files
-Must be flexible and able to multi-task to meet a wide range of demands from engineers
-Must be organized and driven to meet high pressure deadlines
-Must be able to recognize where added value could be achieved or efficiencies improved and reports to team accordingly
-Must be able to work with multiple teams and departments.
-Must be able to develop economic models for single well and full field development.
-Additional special projects and duties as directed by management may be included.
-Must be able to understand and discuss economic output with various team members with banking background.
-Create and update well PHDWin databases from central production database and public data such as IHS Energy and Drilling Info. Must be able to perform comparison analysis of production imports.
-Setup and run PHD economic cases, production, prices, expenses, investments, ownership, taxes and reserve projections. Must be able to make various data base economic runs to determine sensitivity to prices & expenses for various reserve reports.
-Gather data for loans documentation and engineering studies and input into Excel and PHDWin.
- Must be able to convert Aries Access data base into PhD Win Format as received.
-Run economics sensitivities as directed setup and update Excel spreadsheets with data and graphs.
-Build high level Presentations in Powerpoint.
-Excellent computer skills working in a time sensitive and accurate manner
-Knowledge of oil and gas terminology, data sources, and information types.
-Familiarity with regional and state regulatory websites and public data sources.
-Good verbal and written communications skills.
-Requires 3+ years of experience as a Reservoir Technician.
-PetroTech certification or Engineering, Math or Science Degree
