POSITION SUMMARY

The Engineering Technician is an individual contributor providing technical support GoM Asset Optimization Reservoir Engineering team. The person in this role works closely with the team to assimilate and analyze data, prepare reports and develop presentations. The Engineering Technician will also play a key role in interfacing with other teams and subsruface departments to ensure coordinated activities.

Responsibilities
Provide broad-based engineering support and assistance to GoM Asset Optimization Reservoir Engineering team in support of development activities and other projects
Analyze and manage ad hoc data creating spreadsheets, charts, and databases as required
Research detailed technical information and provide analysis in support of the project
Develop technical and management presentations for internal and external meetings
Support the Hess – GoM fields by developing and maintaining activity reports, charts, etc.
Coordinate with other departments as necessary to acquire information or report data or activities
Provide support for Lean Production Controls initiatives
Support for development and maintenance of project metrics and dashboards
Assist with development of Field Depletion Plan documents
Assist with compiling project documentation (e.g. equipment as-built drawings and data, QA/QC reports, etc.) and coordinating with project services

Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of oil and gas industry experience required; preferably with experience as an engineering technician
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products a must; Excel Macro and Access database experience a plus; knowledge of engineering software (e.g. OFM, Prosper, etc.) a plus
Mapping and GIS skills preferred
Experience with rig and production daily reports preferred
Proactive, logical problem solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Must be a proven team player able to manage multiple, concurrent priorities

Education / Training
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
