Key Job Accountabilities
Leads the efforts in the preparation of reservoir tests, production logging and reservoir/surface sampling requirements. Devises well testing programs including gauge specifications, flowing period and shut-in time.
Assesses the reliability of various reservoir description data sources and the uncertainty associated with data. Identifies critical reservoir characterization parameters that impact reservoir performance and applies this information for optimisation of the development plan. Integrates all available data for reservoir characterization of the COMPANY blocks.
Advises on field development issues and strategies. Develops recommendations for optimisation and provides innovative solutions/options to issues and problems. Highlights uncertainty in data and analysis driving development decisions and potential business impact of various possible outcomes. Ensures implementation of the Best Practices in reservoir surveillance and reservoir management.
Leads, coordinates and supports the compilation of Well Information Summary documents from a Reservoir Engineering perspective, and supports the endorsement and approval process. This includes also the review of execution documents such as well execution documents, stimulation design documents, and test procedures.
Leads and coordinates the testing of data wells (DST, pressure and PVT sampling) as well as the testing through rig facilities after based on clean-up and early performance data.
Uses analytical and numerical, standard and advanced reservoir engineering calculations to evaluate well, platforms, block and reservoir performance and suggests solutions to rectify
Addresses the most complex reservoir engineering issues using analytical and numerical methods and understands the state-of-the-art and the research directions in reservoir engineering.
Defines scope of work and oversees reservoir engineering work/simulation studies by external contractors or shareholders (as technical consultant)
Defines scope of work for joint reservoir engineering projects with shareholders/ external consultants, participates in the work and influences their reservoir engineering work and simulation model studies.
Formulates and documents the procedures based on the best practices in reservoir surveillance and reservoir management.
University degree in Petroleum Engineering or Chemical Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline
10 years of hand-on experience in reservoir engineering
Well versed in computer skills and be independent user of reservoir engineering application programs.
Knowledge of fundamental business practices
Proficiency in verbal and written English Language
