The Reservoir Engineering Manager is responsible for driving and managing Reservoir Engineering within the framework of our clients policies and procedures and in compliance of applicable regulations.
This position will be responsible for managing reservoir engineering activities at our clients including but not limited to:
  • Work with staff to identify opportunities for reserves additions and production increases.
  • Make sure reservoir engineering function is fully integrated with support from geologists and operations to develop field level depletion plans.
  • Make sure asset teams are not foregoing valuable opportunities.
  • Monitor daily production and produce monthly report to management on production trends.
  • Review reservoir engineering work of staff to insure accuracy and consistency.
  • Suggest alternative evaluation methods to determine more accurate reserves volumes.
  • Review staff economic analyses of recompletions, drilling locations and facility projects for accuracy and share best practices.
  • Communicate all components of the process and methodology to reservoir engineering staff.
  • Ensure the technical basis, correct classification and supporting documentation of Reserve and Resource volumes are sound.
  • Understand and communicate the business impact of Reserve changes, specifically on performance metrics and, analyze reserve data and provide change recommendations as appropriate.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on Reserve issues – be a Reserves Expert.
  • Set up external training as required for you and your staff
  • Liaise with all Exploration, Exploitation and Business Development activities in their area and potentially assist with special projects as necessary.
