Role synopsis
As an integral member of the subsurface team, the Reservoir Analyst will support reservoir engineering activity, with the primary responsibility of providing technical support. Specific responsibilities will include data management support for engineering analyses while ensuring the accuracy and availability of the data in multiple software packages. This role is based in Oklahoma City and will report to the Reservoir Engineering Manager.
Key accountabilities
Support the engineering team using a range of software, including: Aries, Spotfire, Office 365, Fekete Harmony, & ArcGIS, specifically to 1) QC and correct data, 2) transfer data between applications, 3) query databases, 4) identify and implement opportunities for efficiency improvements.Provide well planning supportKeep team aware of application/service issues and seek to improve the user environmentProvide data to partners as neededEnsure the asset well lists are accurate and updated for resource bookingsSupport the team to apply data analytics to current evaluationsProvide support to organize data feeds for regular business reviews/updates and annual business planning
Essential Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Economics, Business or science-related field.
Essential experience and job requirements
Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a reservoir/production technologist with the proven ability to work independentlyWorking knowledge of subsurface IT systems, data management, and data queryingHigh level of competency and willingness to learn application of new softwareProficiency in Aries and SpotfireAdditional experience with geospatial mapping is preferred
