EGC is an independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company whose growth strategy emphasizes acquisitions, enhanced by its value-added organic drilling program. The company's properties are located in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico waters and the Gulf Coast onshore. We are currently looking to fill the position of Reservoir Engineer in Houston, TX. This position will report to the Asset Manager.Asset ExploitationEnsure all exploitation goals are achieved by proactively providing reservoir engineering support to geoscience, drilling, production, facilities, regulatory and land team membersGenerate asset development plans by field and creatively seek ways to maximize asset valueRecommend drilling, recompletion, workover and facilities capital investments with technical and economic analysis that applies probabilistic EURs, risk modeling and pricing sensitivitiesGenerate PUD and prospective drilling inventory adds working closely with geoscientistsActively screen well data to identify and add behind pipe inventoryMaintain behind pipe and undeveloped inventory with up to date timing, capital, rates, and EURsImplement routine/regular PDP production surveillance and productivity analysis to identify workover candidates, working closely with production engineersContinuously maintain and update Aries database attributes and forecastsProvide all reservoir-related documentation requested by the Regulatory DepartmentAssist Exploration and Business Development/A&D; initiatives as assignedManage special projects and other duties as assignedReserves & PlanningForecast quarterly and year-end reserves estimates with supporting documentation and thorough explanations for major variances by completionGenerate EUR support for newly added inventory and post-drill reserves estimatesCollaborate with the Corporate Reserves department to ensure reserves compliance and reconcile reserve estimate variances with the reserves auditorsVet and propose drilling, recompletion, workover and facilities investments for the annual budgetProvide monthly capital and volume reforecasts for Base anMinimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required in Petroleum EngineeringMinimum 10-15 years of industry/applicable engineering experienceMinimum 5-10 years reservoir engineering experienceGulf of Mexico experience requiredProficient in reservoir engineering and reserves softwareMicrosoft Office proficiency requiredProven ability to work independentlyStrong time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneouslySolid interpersonal and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications: ARIESTM proficiency preferredIHS Petra proficiency preferredJob Type: Full-timeEducation:Bachelor's (Preferred)
