Senior Appraisal Reservoir Engineer needed for a direct hire opportunity in Houston, Texas. The ideal match for this position will have bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering with a minimum of 10 years of oil and gas industry experience working in multi-disciplinary teams adding value to assets through application of solid reservoir management skills. Other qualifications include experience in evaluation and development of deepwater reservoirs is preferred, with strong preference for Gulf of Mexico expertise. Proficiency with ARIES is a must. Proficiency in integrated production modeling tools (Gap, Prosper, MBAL) desired. Must have a strong technical background in reservoir engineering including decline curve analysis, material balance, volumetrics, waterflood studies, pressure transient analysis, and nodal analysis. Flow assurance and reservoir simulation exposure a plus. Responsibilities include but not limited to carrying out field and reservoir studies, developing reservoir modeling, preparing project economic, supporting appraisal teams in evaluation of deepwater projects, performing risked economic assessments, organizing and maintaining well and field data information, and preparing and delivering technical presentations for review.
