Description

To be the well choke owner for a specific location in the Al-Shaheen field, responsible for day-to-day production/injection optimization in the Production Optimization team. Key Responsibilities 1.Health and Safety:Drive an incident free environment through duty to intervene to establish and maintain a strong safety culture; role model safety behaviors and take corrective action wherever necessary
Ensure that safe work processes are executed and comply with relevant health, safety (occupational & process) and environmental excellence procedures.
Use of system control instruments within area of responsibility to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude.
2.Production/Injection optimization:Deliver the Maximum Production Potential of the wells from their specific location/reservoir.
Monitor and analyse performance of wells, within their operating envelopes.
Acquire relevant data for well and reservoir surveillance.
Provide metering and well test data flow assurance
Conduct production data for Validation, Allocation, Reconciliation and Reporting
Identify, propose and pursue options for the following through data gathering and analyses of wells, reservoirs and facilities:
Improve / increase oil recovery/water injection from existing wells.
Optimisation and adjustment of planned production.
Identify, plan and implement well interventions for well integrity, surveillance and optimisation purposes, using platform based activities (wireline, electric line and coiled tubing).
Provide input to Integrated Activity Planning and Production Loss mitigation plan and 90 Day Business Plan.
Ensure that Choke Team Lead is kept informed of risks to production of wells.

3.Integrated operations:Improve existing and participate in applying new methods and technologies to:
Reduce operating and development costs.
Increase oil production.
Improve work efficiency.
Take part in strong interdisciplinary cooperation both intra- and interdepartmentally (Reservoir Management, Well Services and FDP teams).
Prepare input for and/or author Company and/or Petroleum Engineering related reports and documentation at all levels (individual wells, platform level).
Ensure efficient flow of communication and collaboration within the team.
Review all operational practices and changes to ensure positive impact on the wells.
4.General:Strive towards that in all matters – prior to decision – economical and technical assessments are made, constant care observed and initiative taken to secure the best economical results.
Strive towards that all tasks and studies are efficiently implemented in a professional manner, securing compliance with contracts, company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws, regulations, etc.

Ensure to apply prudent and efficient production/injection optimization and well integrity, honoring both long term and short term objectives and strategies. Who we are looking for Solid background/experience in classic Production Technology and/or Reservoir Engineering.
Proficient in:
•Nodal Analysis - preferably PETEX software.
•Other well related software skills and/or Programming skills (VBA) may be an advantage.
•Material Balance Reservoir Engineering Tools
BSc in an Engineering or Scientific discipline
This person should have good communication skills, a strong analytical approach to solving complex technical problems, a proven ability to work in a team environment dealing with people to achieve goals and to identify and resolve problems in a multi-disciplinary environment.
