Modis is looking for a Reservoir Engineer candidate for a job in Tulsa, OK.  A highly competitive oil and gas company headquartered in Tulsa, OK is actively seeking to hire a Reservoir Engineer. Reservoir Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

  • Experience in using production curve analysis (Arps) to forecast reserve recoveries from reservoirs
  • Knowledge of SEC reserve reporting guidelines and able to quantify PUD, POSS, and PROB reserves
  • Performs reserve and economic evaluations of drilling, recompletion, workover and acquisition opportunities.
  • Generates risked economics for screening and ranking prospects.
  • Incorporates annual drilling plan and budget, as approved by management, into economic runs providing cash flows and ROR information.

  • Maintain data and update reserves, incorporating new pricing and cost information as required.
  • Develops and keeps current type curves economics for various areas or plays.
  • Analyzes well after application of certain workover techniques and provides incremental reserves resulting from the work performed
  • Evaluates production and reserves, providing estimated values to be utilized inthe review of potential acquisitions and divestitures
  • Familiar with well test analysis, material balance, performance analysis, fluid properties, volumetric recovery methods and project economics.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in petroleum engineering from a Big 12 school in Oklahoma or neighboring states is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability gained through 3+ years’ in related assignments or relevant industry experience
  • Good working knowledge of industry economic software required (Aries or PHDWin, both preferred)
  • Experience in SQL
  • Proficient in Excel and Access
  • Experience with Enertia a plus
  • Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and accomplish tasks with minimal supervision
