Wien, WFestanstellungA dynamic innovative software Company in the Oil and Gas industry seeks a Support Reservoir Engineer to assist in representing the Company’s reservoir modelling software mainly across Europe. This is a great opportunity for candidates with some technical experience of analytical reservoir engineering approaches combined with a deep knowledge of reservoir simulation software. The Company is also open to graduates with a relevant academic background and a desire to move into this client facing role. You will be a hands-on team player with drive and energy and relevant knowledge to work independently on technical pre-sale projects. Interesting role, working for an expanding and dynamic Company.

Preferences: The successful candidate will have:
Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent essential.
Graduate of petroleum engineering OR an experienced reservoir simulation candidate. The key is the ability and drive to support reservoir simulation software.
Previous working experience within a Service Company highly desired.
Experience using a reservoir simulation technology essential – e.g. Eclipse, Petrel RE, CMG desired.
Strong interpersonal skills –ability to relay technical knowledge and concepts in a coherent and friendly manner.
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English essential.
Ability to support and drive technical excellence across the user community in Europe essential.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills – the ability to maintain and build strong relationships with clients and work colleagues.
Some business acumen desired – ability to listen, identify and qualify potential new business opportunities is key.
Strong marketing awareness – ability to identify opportunities to raise awareness and reputation across the market.
Enjoys being part of an integrated, multi-disciplinary team that welcomes challenges and innovation – someone who can see the bigger picture and respond to a changing marketplace.
Strong project management skills essential – ability to schedule, to organise, manage and prioritise your projects.
A desire to be actively involved in the industry – keeping abreast of new reservoir techniques, technologies, market trends/practices, players, workflows…
Must be service orientated and willing to travel across Europe.

Responsibilities Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director your primary responsibilities will be to:
Become knowledgeable in the Company’s technologies and associated services. Full training provided.
Assist in representing the Company’s reservoir modelling software across Europe – mainly Spain, Norway, Austria etc. There may also be opportunity for support staff to travel globally when required.
Work closely with the Sales/Business Development Team in supporting their growth strategies for software sales.
Identify sales opportunities in the region and liaise with sales/business teams.
Establish yourself amongst the Oil and Gas community, identify and build relationships with key contacts in oil and gas companies.
Be proactive in raising awareness and reputation of the Company, software and associates services.
Become a go-to-person for technical support within the region.
Provide technical support to clients
Respond to clients in a timely and professional manner.
Liaise with Company technical support when required to assist in trouble shooting and gain technical solutions and software upgrades as required.
Escalate unresolved problems and keep the client updated throughout.
Feedback any changes/improvements to R&D.;
Provide software training courses to existing and potential clients.
Execute regular reporting exercise such as activity reviews and monthly reports.
Attend industry events and where possible showcase the Company’s technologies.
Keep abreast of competitors in the market and share knowledge, market trends, challenges and drivers of clients in Europe.
