Reservoir Engineer - Subsurface Mozambique
Reservoir Engineer position within the Mozambique Subsurface Team located in the Woodlands, Texas.
Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the E&P; industry. Ideally, the majority of this experience has been working with an Operator company working on operated production and development.
Experienced with reservoir characterization, material balance, and well test analysis software. Familiarity with 3D modelling techniques, Petrel and reservoir simulation software.
Track record as a reservoir engineer with classical reservoir engineering skills and solid business fundamentals. Experienced in field management and production operations.
Candidate should have experience with multi well drilling program – preparation, design, execution and evaluation.
Excellent organizational skills and strong technical writer.
Comfortable interacting with Partners, management and other team members.
Collaborate with team members to determine optimum field development plans and prepare documentation necessary for project approvals.
Undertake reservoir studies utilizing classical reservoir engineering techniques, Nexus simulation software, material balance and well test interpretation software to produce credible and value-adding reservoir management recommendations.
Collaborate with geoscientists building and maintaining geological model and provide input on reservoir engineering requirements.
Ensure accurate and accountable forecast for future production and hydrocarbon reserves; to be the Competent Person for the estimation, audit and reporting of production forecasts, reserves and resources.
Maintain knowledge on new technology and develop required reservoir simulation models to identify well locations and adjustment of field development strategy if required.
Conduct relevant technical joint venture partner meetings and meetings with government agencies, representing the company in reservoir development and engineering related matters to influence stakeholders to create value.
Record of accomplishment of proactively proposing and implementing successful input into and influence of field development planning.
Comprehensive experience of utilizing the suite of available reservoir engineering techniques to optimize existing and planned developments.
Systematic approach to uncertainty management – ability to work with limited / uncertain data
Familiarity with hydrocarbon resources estimation and reporting.
Project management skills – track record of coordinating multiple activities / studies; integrating and leveraging the results.
Commercial / business awareness.
Organized with the capability to work on multiple assets concurrently.
Strong capability and desire for mentoring.
Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum, Chemical and/or Mechanical Engineering or closely related engineering or scientific discipline is required.
Travel will be required up to 15% - including international locations.
This position is eligible for the 9/80 work schedule.
