EP Energy is currently searching for a Senior Staff Reservoir Engineer to work on assets within the Wolfcamp Business Area.  This person will work in a multi-disciplinary team environment, collaborating with Land, Geosciences, Operations, and Production Professionals.  

 Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Mentoring and advising less experienced engineers;  Project leadership
  • Field development planning and implementation
  • Driving the team’s continuous improvement in subsurface understanding of the Wolfcamp through
    • Analysis of empirical data
    • Reservoir modeling
    • Offset operator analysis
  • Working closely with Production Engineers to identify opportunities and implement solutions to optimize production
  • Working closely with Completions Engineers to
    • Drive continuous optimization of completion design
    • Develop refrac strategy and plans
  • Working with Reserves group on booking strategy and implementation
  • Maintaining type curves (and revising as appropriate)
  • Maintenance of properties in ARIES
  • Acquisition economic analyses
  • AFE stewardship

Requirements

Sr. Staff level:

  • BS in Engineering, Petroleum Engineering
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the E&P Industry

Staff level:

  • BS in Engineering, Petroleum Engineering
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in the E&P Industry

Senior level:

  • BS in Engineering, Petroleum Engineering
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the E&P Industry

Other:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A team player with proven communication skills, capable of working effectively with technical and non-technical personnel
  • Able to work with minimum supervision, and be driven to produce results at both an individual and team level
  • Proven track record in applying technology and generating value adding results
  • Team with others to perform in inter-disciplinary integrated projects and studies
