About the Role:
As a Reservoir Engineer or Senior Engineer, you will demonstrate a high level of technical reservoir engineering skills in both local and international settings to guide, and apply technical solutions in order to drive business outcomes. You will demonstrate business acumen, understanding the context of your technical work. You will have ownership of reservoir engineering scopes, working them independently, engaging and inspiring others to delivering value adding outcomes on world class assets.
The role is based in Perth and is a permanent position.
We are supportive of applications requiring flexible working arrangements, and welcome applications from those interested in 0.6 FTE or 0.8 FTE arrangements, as well as full time.
Duties & Responsibilities:
This is a critical role within the organisation. Responsibilities of the role will include:
Deliver high quality results which impact business decisions across the organisation
Provide technical value to other functional disciplines to support the delivery of business results
Remain current in the application of latest proven technologies and methods of reservoir analyses
Influence the introduction of new technology into the company which have a significant impact on the business
Act as a Discipline/Functional assurer for major projects
Encourage technical challenges during presentations and respond to these challenges positively
Communicate effectively across organisational boundaries and with external stakeholders including regulators
Use your experience to balance the risks and apply judgement in increasingly complex situations
Inspire others to drive to higher levels of performance
Skills & Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following:
Undergraduate (BSc/MSc/MEng/BEng) or post-graduate (PhD) degree in an Engineering or Science related discipline
Extensive and demonstrable experience in the practice of reservoir engineering
Strong core Reservoir Engineering skills as well as experience within a specialisation of the Reservoir engineering discipline (eg PVT, Material Balance Modelling)
Strong analytical skills, regularly solving complex problems independently
Strong understanding of handling uncertainty to define value appropriately and make informed recommendations and/or decisions
Ability to influence and respond to technical challenges with senior management and external partners in presentation and meeting environments
Ability to balance business risks and apply judgement where appropriate to support high quality technical results
