WesthillContractOur client is currently recruiting for the position of Reservoir Engineer, based in Westhill Aberdeenshire.
Responsibilities will include:
Evaluate resources and reserves ranges of field development projects in association with G&G; colleagues. Expected to provide an evaluation of subsurface risks and uncertainties of these projects. Autonomous use of reservoir simulation techniques, model building, decline curve analysis.
Perform analysis of field and well production behaviour incorporating G&G; understanding of the field in order to define the reservoir management strategy and to propose production optimising operations.
Called offshore to witness relevant operations such as PLT's, perforations, Cased hole Pulse Neutron logging, Well Testing, offshore PVT sampling and production chemistry
Present evaluations to Partner meetings, HQ peer reviews, UK authorities
Involved in Prospect evaluations
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum BSc Hons Degree in Engineering or related discipline (MSc preferred)
Significant experience in the oil industry, including field experience of reservoir monitoring activities (i.e. witnessing DST, wireline logging, perforations)
Understanding of geological and geophysical concepts such as sequential stratigraphy correlations, geophysical interpretation, seismic acquisition and processing.
Understanding of project economics, well construction concepts and hazards, completion operations and design, well lift performance, allocation.
Fully autonomous in reservoir engineering techniques: numerical simulation, well test interpretation, material balance, production logging analysis, PVT analysis, and other company standard reservoir engineering interpretation tools. Understanding of SEC reserves booking.
Ability to work within a team and having good communication skills
