Uxbridge, ONWe’re seeking a Reservoir Engineer In-Training to join our multi-disciplinary asset team in Uxbridge.
Reservoir Engineers apply technical skills and knowledge to solve engineering challenges where they function as integrators, connecting subsurface and topside engineering activities to optimize hydrocarbon production. They aim to do maximize reservoir value, through optimization of existing reservoir management strategies and input to field development planning, at all stages of the exploration to production life-cycle.
The Reservoir Engineer In-Training will become part of a multi-disciplinary asset team, tasked with maximising the value of the oil and gas field under their control. Hands-on experience will be gained across the spectrum of the business.
Typical work activities include:
maximizing reservoir value through reservoir evaluation
integration of subsurface understanding, well design and facilities constraints through reservoir simulation
evaluation of alternate reservoir development options
input to investment decision analysis
reservoir simulation, material balance and PVT studies
infill drilling planning
intervention opportunity identification
liaising with external contractors
enhanced oil recovery evaluations
providing production and hydrocarbon information for economic and commercial evaluation
working closely with operational staff, and other functions
support to exploration and appraisal drilling
support to new business development evaluations
liaising with all stakeholders including Joint Venture partners, regulatory authorities and Senior Management
Who are we looking for?
Successful candidates will have a minimum of an M.Sc. and have some knowledge of PVT analysis, Reservoir Simulation; Nodal Analysis; Drilling and Completion techniques; Production technology techniques with an awareness of geology and geophysics, wire line log interpretation; economics.
