Roles & Responsibilities
The Reservoir Engineer position will provide support in the area of production forecasting and reserve estimation for clientele under BHGE
Essential Responsibilities:
Production forecasting and Reserves estimation and reporting according to a variety of Reserves definitions and guidelines.
Classical reservoir engineering, analysis of PVT and SCAL data, and well test analysis.
Dynamic reservoir modelling, numerical simulation, decline curve analysis and material balance.
Asset evaluation, from first principles as well as audits of client and third party studies and reports
Field development and feasibility studies and production optimization studies.
Integrating reservoir engineering results with other subsurface disciplines, commercial aspects and economics.
Presenting conclusions of technical studies to team members and clients’ representatives, both verbally and in formal reports.
To present data and reports to clients either individually or as part of the larger project team.
Requirements
This role will require knowledge of all aspects of reservoir/petroleum engineering from exploration to mature assets. A suitable candidate for this position should offer:
Degree in petroleum/reservoir engineering or appropriate related subject, post-graduate qualification(s) desirable
At least 5 - 15 years relevant oil industry experience essential, some or all of it with an operator and/or consultancy company, desirable
Working knowledge of industry practices in reserve estimation including knowledge of the various reserve reporting definitions and guidelines (SPE, SEC) desirable
International experience, both Onshore and Offshore highly desirable
Experience with CSG and Tight Gas projects, highly desirable
Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, and manage such teams when necessary absolutely desirable
Willingness to travel absolutely essential
Excellent written and verbal communication
