Reservoir Engineer. Primary responsibilities: Evaluate and assess oil and gas producing properties for acquisition, including;Perform Nodal Analysis & EOR (waterflood etc.) studiesPerform subsurface due diligence, provide insight, and support oil & gas reserve assessmentsDevelop and optimize field development and re-development plans, particularly for mature conventional fieldsEstimate resource volumes and recoverable hydrocarbons using both probabilistic and deterministic volumetric, EURs, and recovery factorsProduce, reserve appraisals, assess third-party appraisals, and determine methods to reconcile variancesProvide insights into critical subsurface risks and recommend mitigation methodsAnalyze reservoir and well performance data, including:Interpret transient well tests (estimate pressures), perform RTA/PTA analysis, model material balance, and predict well performancePerform Decline Curve Analysis, type curve, and/or trend analysis in conjunction with reserve estimations Perform fluid property modeling (PVT analysis)Assess and implement measures to enhance reservoir data qualityCreate reservoir simulation models for both compositional & black oil, and evaluate reservoir performancePrepare concise and insightful presentations, memos, and reports for both internal and external audiencesConduct various ad hoc analytical projects in close cooperation with groups inside and outside the companyPreferred Requirements:Master’s degree or PhD in Petroleum Engineering or Reservoir Engineering5 to 10 years of experience in a wide range of reservoir engineering activities. A minimum of 3 years working on North American conventional oil & gas fields and 3 years on the development of unconventional resourcesExperience in mature field acreage acquisitions, including identifying acquisition targets, evaluating assets and operator performanceStrong analytical and quantitative skills Skilled in Reservoir engineering software.
