The Conventional Assets & Enhanced Oil Revocery (EOR) team is seeking a Reservoir Engineer. If you are selected as the Reservoir Engineer, you will provide expertise to major ConocoPhillips projects globally. The primary focus will be on flood management and Enhanced Oil Recovery at different stages of field life. The work will include coordinating integrated studies, data interpretation and integration, reservoir surveillance, performing detailed reservoir simulation work, supporting Business Units (BUs) with pilot design, planning and execution efforts as well as field development and optimization efforts. You will contribute to the EOR Technology Development program by identifying and championing future reservoir technology needs for ConocoPhillips. Attending peer reviews and training/mentoring junior staff is also a part of the responsibilities.

You will need to be confident working as an individual contributor and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in a dynamic work environment and often managing priorities for multiple projects/clients. The role also requires some travel to international locations and working with our multinational staff.

Your responsibilities may include:
Providing appraisal, development, production optimization and flood management expertise to ConocoPhillips BUs globally
Performing integrated Geology, Geophysics, and Reservoir Engineer (GG&RE;) studies in support of ConocoPhillips assets using simulation models. This could include history matching studies, forecasting work, field development optimization, Improved Oil Recovery/Enhanced Oil Recovery (IOR/EOR) evaluations
IOR/EOR pilot design, planning and implementation
Conducting multi-discipline reservoir characterization and uncertainty studies
Analyse reservoir and well performance data and develop reservoir surveillance programs for IOR/EOR pilots and field wide applications
Contributing to the technology development programs in Exploration Subsurface and Other Internationals
Attending peer reviews and peer assists in supporting of development projects or screening studies for IOR/EOR
Supporting the development and implementation of training programs
Occasional travel to BU offices in support of training or critical reservoir studies

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering, related field or foreign equivalent
15+ years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry
5+ years of experience working in business units
5+ years of reservoir simulation experience
3+ years of experience with enhanced oil recovery processes
Advanced knowledge of implementation, surveillance and optimization of waterfloods
Willing and able (with or without a reasonable accommodation) to travel 20% of the time
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Master’s degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering or related field or foreign equivalent
20+ years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry
EOR expertise including experience with miscible/ immiscible and/or CO2 injection, pilot design, monitoring and field wide EOR applications
Strong Reservoir Simulation skills including history matching, field development, performance forecasting
Deep understanding of reservoir monitoring techniques and evaluation.
Well performance analysis experience
Experience in reservoir fluid sampling, fluid property modelling, routine and special core analysis
Proven record of successfully completing a significant number of practical integrated reservoir studies involving reservoir description, fluid and rock property generation and reservoir modeling
Significant experience working on mature oil fields under water flood
Proficiency in reservoir engineering and pattern management practices including, but not limited to, material balance, injector optimization, conformance improvement, flood pattern surveillance, and performance forecasting
Prior IOR/EOR pilot design/planning and implementation experience
Strong knowledge of risk and uncertainty analysis
International work experience
Experience with major project development
Real passion for Technology Development
