Callon Petroleum Company an independent oil and natural gas company focused on growing production and reserves from their oil-weighted, multi-play, multi-pay assets in the Permian Basin has a current opening for a Reservoir Engineer in its Houston, TX office.
Asset development in the Midland basin, which includes development, reserve forecasts, AFEs, project economics, and production optimization.
Collaborate with technical team on well performance studies, completion optimization, artificial lift strategies, facility requirements and planning, and some acquisition opportunities.
Support and guide field level projects to meet drill schedule requirements.
A minimum of 10 years experience as a Reservoir Engineer for an unconventional oil and gas operator preferably in the Permian Basin
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineer or related discipline required
Experience in reserve estimations under SEC rules using decline curve analysis, production surveillance, and economic evaluations.
Understanding of production engineering strategies to optimize oil and gas recovery through various artificial lift methods including ESP, gas lift, and rod pump.
Understanding of completion engineering strategies to maximize well productivity.
Proficient knowledge in Aries, IHS Harmony, MS Office Suite and familiarity with Spotfire, Tableau, Rodstar and XSPOC.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships through strong communication with employees, supervisors and other departments.
Ability to work multiple, diverse projects in several areas through effective time management.
