Marketed under the brand name, “Powerwave”, the technology is a proven and cost effective method for increasing oil/gas production with existing infrastructure.The Position: We’re looking for a full-time reservoir or petroleum engineer with an open mind and a “can do” attitude to learn and utilize Wavefront’s proprietary models for well stimulation. Competence, flexibility, and non-clock watching skills required. Sometimes referred to as The Gateway to the North; City of Champions; or Festival City, Edmonton has an excellent culinary scene, a lively music scene, and beautiful natural surroundings.Bare Minimum Requirements: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum or Reservoir engineering.A minimum of 3 years post graduate experience in Reservoir Engineering and/or Production Engineering.Comprehensive field experience including coil tubing and service rig operations.A strong background in physics and mathematics.A thorough working and programming knowledge of the software language Python.Development knowledge in any reservoir modeling software packages.Experience in production decline analysis.Experience in preparing well stimulation programs, procedures, and ability to do well stimulation modelling with minimal oversight.You Will Be The Perfect Candidate If You Have: Knowledge of dynamic flow enhancement in the earth.Working knowledge and relevant experience in the areas or IOR/EOR recovery techniques.A solid background in special core analysis (SCAL); phase behavior of reservoir fluids (PVT); production mechanisms; reserve estimation; material balance analyses; reservoir optimization; decline curve analysis; reservoir performance; and, pressure and rate transient analyses (PTA & RTA).Experience conducting reservoir engineering studies using analytical and reservoir simulation techniques.A command of the English language but the ability to also communicate in one or more of Spanish or Arabic.A valid passport and driver’s license.Flexibility to travel for extended periods of time at a moments notice.A keen sense of humour.Candidates Who May Be Contacted: Only those candidates suitable to the above criteria may be contacted for an interview.
