Jagged Peak is looking for a Reservoir Engineer to increase value through optimization of asset performance using technical evaluations, development projects, and reservoir modeling. The candidate should be a team-oriented individual that can leverage their experiences and skills to develop solutions that elevate our team to be more effective and efficient.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Enhance horizontal development in multiple stacked targets using technical analysis and modeling to optimize completions and wellbore spacing
Present post appraisals and project results to make recommendations for continuous improvement
Perform detailed acquisition and divestiture evaluations and make recommendations with the team to management
Prepare economic model and company budget by augmenting production forecasts, development plans, expenditure models, etc.
Improve well performance by monitoring pressure and production data and working closely with our production group to perform well evaluations
Perform reservoir engineering functions as part of an integrated team that includes project economics, decline curve analysis, material balance, volumetrics, pressure transient analysis, rate transient analysis, etc.
Organize and maintain well data and documentation for ARIES inputs and reserve revisions for quarterly reporting and reserve auditing
Additional Skills and Abilities:
Self-motivated individual with strong work ethic, attention to details, robust organizational skills and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge of and competent in applying reservoir modeling (PTA, RTA, fracture modeling, material balance and simulation) to make technical recommendations
Familiarity with other company departments such as development planning, operations, marketing, land and geology
Understanding of Petroleum Resource Classifications, SMOG reporting, and SOX compliance
Competent user of multiple programs (ARIES, Enersight, Wellview, PRAMS, Petra, Access, Spotfire)
Experienced with statistical analysis evaluating multiple variables
Must be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and team needs to meet established deadlines
Education, Experience and Certifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Petroleum preferred) from a four-year college or university
8+ years relevant industry experience – Permian experience with a focus on horizontal development of unconventional reservoirs is ideal
Exposure to field operations, production, completions, and drilling activities
