We are currently seeking a Reservoir Engineer (multiple positions). This position is located in Columbus, OH.
Support the Energy Resources group, which specializes in providing innovative solutions and solving difficult problems in the areas of oil and gas exploration and production as well as using or storing carbon dioxide generated during energy production and use. Provide reservoir analysis under the guidance of senior engineering staff within our oil and gas exploration and production and carbon utilization and storage programs. Perform simulations of CO2 injection into saline aquifers and depleted oil fields. Develop simplified models of fluid injection and pressure buildup. Estimate reserves and improved oil recovery potential based on historical production data. Analyze transient pressure and rate data from brine disposal, shale gas and CO2 injection wells. Interact with both internal and external clients to convey results or present findings through briefings.
Master’s degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related field. Foreign equivalent degrees are acceptable.
In addition to the degree, the position requires a theoretical background in porous media flow modeling concepts as demonstrated by any amount of graduate coursework in at least three of the following subject areas: reservoir engineering, reservoir simulation, data integration for petroleum reservoirs, or pressure transient testing.
