The Role

Reporting to the Reservoir, Appraisal & Development (RAD) Manager for the Reedy Creek, Combabula & Peat (RCCP) asset, this position conducts Reservoir Engineering activities, primarily reservoir simulation, to generate production forecasts, test and optimise future development plans, assess reserves and resources, and support current development and operations for the RCCP Asset.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Construction, history match and updates for reservoir simulation models in assigned field
Production forecasts for future development packages including high and low side scenarios
Assessment of alternate development strategies such as well spacing studies and alternate completion types to optimise future development plans
Assess reserves and resources is assigned fields
Project management in Deliver Wells process

Is This You?

To succeed in this role, you will be a clear and confident communicator with the ability to deliver key technical messages across the organisation and influence critical development, appraisal and reservoir management outcomes. You will recognise that an optimal outcome is a balance between various, at times conflicting drivers, and that to get the balance right you need input from other disciplines and teams.
You will also demonstrate:
Relevant tertiary qualification (Petroleum Engineering, Geoscience or similar) combined with 5+ years' post qualification experience in subsurface development
Qualified Reserve and Resource Estimator (per ASX guidelines)
Technical knowledge of Reservoir Engineering with emphasis on CSG
High proficiency in standard industry modelling software such as Eclipse and Petrel RE with a proven track record of building, initialising and history matching both complex, sector and well models
