AberdeenFull-time, ContractOur Client is looking for a Reservoir Engineer, on a contract basis, location in Aberdeen.ROLEAllocated to an Asset Geosciences team and will actively contribute to HSE evaluation of operations; develop, recommend and implement reservoir management strategies to maximise the value of the Asset (i.e. production optimisation) identify, develop and promote opportunities for further development of the fields. The Post Holder may be called onsite to witness operations on an ad hoc basis.RESPONSIBILITIESEvaluate resources and reserves ranges of field development projects in association with his / her G&G; colleagues. Expected to provide an evaluation of subsurface risks and uncertainties of these projects. Autonomous use of reservoir simulation techniques, model building, decline curve analysis.Performs analysis of field and well production behaviour incorporating G&G; understanding of the field in order to define the reservoir management strategy and to propose production optimising operations. Prepares Well Intervention Requests and WSOR documents.Called offshore to witness relevant operations such as PLT’s, perforations, Cased hole Pulse Neutron logging, Well Testing, offshore PVT sampling and production chemistryPerforms yearly reserves and profile evaluations for the Prime, LTP exercises. Performs prospect evaluations.Present evaluations to Partner meetings, HQ peer reviews, UK authoritiesInvolved in Prospect evaluationsREQUIREMENTSMinimum BSc Hons Degree in Engineering or related discipline (MSc preferred)Experience in the oil industry, including field experience of reservoir monitoring activities (i.e. witnessing DST, wireline logging, perforations)Understanding of geological and geophysical concepts such as sequential stratigraphy correlations, geophysical interpretation, seismic acquisition and processing.Understanding of project economics, well construction concepts and hazards, completion operations and design, well lift performance, allocation.Fully autonomous in reservoir engineering techniques: numerical simulation, well test interpretation, material balance, production logging analysis, PVT analysis, and other company standard reservoir engineering interpretation tools. Understanding of SEC reserves booking.Ability to work within a team and having good communication skills.Job Types: Full-time, Contract
