Reservoir Engineer — Houston, Texas

The Reservoir Engineer is responsible for reserves determination and profitability analysis while creating value by identifying development and exploitation projects within the framework of the company's policies and procedures and in compliance of applicable regulations.

This position will be responsible for reservoir engineering activities at the company including:
Provide support data for reserves calculations, including input to the company economic model
Generate AFE support data, including reserves, production forecasts and economics
Support the G&G effort by engineering review of maps and coordinating with geological staff
Perform probabilistic analysis in determining mean recoverable reserves for drilling locations
Determine proved and probable reserves after completion of drilling operations
Identify opportunities to perform recompletions
Maintain an awareness of field performance to make timely recommendations

Minimum of 5 years solid reserves determination and reservoir management experience
Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering or related engineering field

Capable of making volumetric calculations and decline curve projections to forecast reserve recovery from reservoirs that have different types of drive mechanisms
Ability to perform evaluations of drilling / recompletion / facility projects
Proven skill set to identify and quantify production/reserve upside via detailed field studies
Basic open and cased hole log analysis
Able to organize and prioritize a diverse and heavy workload
Good oral and written communication skills
Recognize personal strengths and weaknesses and be proactive in self-development
Have a strong sense of integrity and the ability to deal with ethical situations effectively
Proficient in Microsoft Office

There are no certificates, licenses or registrations required for this position
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Employee must be able to sit for extended periods of time and have use of arms and hands in repetitive motion. A fair amount of standing and walking is also required for the position.
