Role synopsis

The Reservoir Engineer will report to the Reservoir Engineering Manager. The successful candidate will also manage reservoirs for optimization of value, contribute to field and reservoir development plans for new and existing fields, and support operations to ensure the successful delivery of plans. He/She will also support the Completions team and serve as point of coordination between the two teams.

Key accountabilities

•For existing fields, create and maintain reservoir development and depletion plans which propose new wells and well interventions on existing wells in order to optimize recoverable reserves for maximum value. •Optimize producer well performance by working closely with field Operators and Optimizers •Manage partner OBO data requests •Populate SOR tool to drive faster AFE’s and ensure handoff from Subsurface to the Execution team is documented •Coordinate between the Reservoir Engineering and Completions teams to optimize well design •Contribute new development ideas and gather data for the opportunity hopper and assist with progressing them through the portfolio to execution-ready. •Contribute to delivery of new well projects and wellwork projects that meet or exceed corporate and BU-specific economic hurdles and profitability targets •Define and incorporate the necessary reservoir and well surveillance to optimize the overall field program economic value. •Analyze all surveillance in compliance with regulations and in support of the surveillance plan and Communicate outcomes to appropriate teams •Ensure well data is maintained (e.g. well history, wellbore diagrams, production plots, NAGster, WETS, etc) •Work with the Central Reserves team to estimate and book resources and reserves

Essential Education

•BS in Petroleum or other Engineering disciplines

Essential experience and job requirements

•1-5 years Engineering experience for oil and gas wells •Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, and network building, demonstrated by an ability to work across teams. •Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time to the field location in order to fulfill the responsibilities of this position as needed •Strong analytic skills and ability to handle complex datasets •Skilled in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
