Job Description
The Brazil NOV team reservoir engineer will be responsible for supporting the well, reservoir, facilities and management team in all reservoir engineering matters during the BMS-9 and BMS-11 development and operations activities. The successful candidate  will be involved in the data gathering, data analysis, reservoir simulation and analysis of sensitivities, and recommendations for the characterization of carbonate reservoirs which are located below complex evaporitic sequences and volcanics. The results will be used in the planning and de-risking of development infill wells, the conditioning of reservoir models and adjustment of injection /and production levels as well as in the evaluation and planning of future EOR techniques.

Near term focus will be on the processing of various buid-up and fall-off pressure surveys of both water injectors / WAG injectors as well as producers, dedicated surveillance of well performance in terms of skin and kh, well surveilance using OFM, supporting data management and digitalization efforts, well intervention surveillance for scaling and well stimulation candidate selection.
Further activities include integrated team well and reservoir and facilties management workshops internally in Shell as well as participating in technical committee meetings.
 
Requirements
​The NOV team reservoir engineer supports the WRFM team on all reservoir engineering aspects of the BMS-9 and BMS-11 surveillance and development strategy as well as on the data management.

Specific details of the job requirements :

- Analysis of the well build-up and well fall-off pressure data
- Evergreening the WRFM data management system including digitalisation efforts
- Influencing development decisions on infill drilling, WAG optimisation and EOR techniques

The candidate should have the following technical expertise:

- University degree, preerence for Petroleum Engineering, but degree in mechanical engineering or chemical engineering is acceptable especially if combined with some experience in subsurface
- exposure to deepwater developments
- fluent in Portuguese and English, both in written and verbal languange
- ability to work in team and influence others
- ability to work with partners including national and international oil companies
- fluent in Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- able to multi-taks and work on different priorities in parallel
- some experience with reservoir engineering, PVT modelling and PTA modelling
- experience with reservoir engineering softwares such as Kappa Server, Oil Field Manager, Spotfire, etc
