Under general direction, the Reservoir Engineer performs engineering analysis, design and specifications, project management, supply impact, deliverability forecasts, and reliability guidance for assigned company storage fields. Team with others to perform inter-disciplinary integrated reservoir studies. Work with multi-disciplined asset teams to design reservoir simulation modeling strategies that conform to the objectives set for each project. Work closely with other disciplines including to frame the requirements, production forecasts and to ensure planning are consistent with company goals. Identifies and quantifies gas reserves. Provides project leadership, determines work scope, develops and monitors test schedules and data collection. Provides regular updates to Energy Delivery and Gas Supply stakeholders. Safety, efficiency, and improved recovery from every reservoir are the goals of the department. Exhibit the ability to design and implement a field management plan.
From time to time, the engineer coordinates projects with contract engineering firms for more complex projects and reviews results and coordinates approvals with the department Manager.
Carries out reservoir simulation studies to optimize recoveries. Under general direction, creates and administers test design to collect data and analyze the results. Develops and applies reservoir optimization techniques. Provides guidance to Storage Field Supervisors on safe and reliable utilization of the storage fields. Provides guidance on positioning the storage fields to have maximum possible output during peak seasonal loads for both hourly and daily balance and customer demand needs. Supports company operations during periods of labor unrest. Leads and participates in reservoir simulation studies which include data analysis, model construction, history matching, calibration, and prediction. Generate production forecasts and recoverable volume ranges for multiple options/scenarios to support the decisions which will define the Field Development Plan. Compiles all relevant data into a complete history of useful information. Plans for future development of the gas storage fields. Communicates project needs and status with internal or external customers.
Develops operational guidance for maximizing production of storage assets while minimizing costs. Monitors and validates annual field guidance. Provides annual storage deliverability charts and ratchets to the department and Gas Supply. Contributes knowledge to supply planning processes what the storage assets are capable of producing during either peak or sustained delivering timeframes to assist the company in designing least-cost portfolios. Manages documentation of results and actively seeks improvements to management of team's working data.
The Reservoir Engineers provides analysis, selection and implementation of new software products, services, and solutions that enable the knowledge base of reservoir data and management into the company. Implements software solutions that are capable of validating our assumptions about our fields with actual reservoir data. Develops methods of streamlining the collection and storage of field data. Provides modeling that validates or improves past storage field operating guidance. Participates in field development planning and modeling output to optimize production.
Develops cost-effective reservoir monitoring and surveillance programs. Performs reservoir characterization studies. Analyzes pressure transients. Builds and maintains representative dynamic reservoir simulations to match and assist in executing production concepts from the full field asset development plans. Evaluates and apples new modeling techniques, tools, and technologies, and acts as a focal point and "go-to" expert on reservoir modeling issues. Provides expertise in reservoir modeling by building and maintaining dynamic reservoir models based on reservoir engineering data inputs and/or geological model updates. Analyzes well logs. Evaluates well performance and prioritize storage field maintenance or expansion needs if any. Analyzes the economic impact and risk assessments of major development programs.

Functional/Technical Competency Requirements
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project). Must exhibit solid analytical skills, problem solving abilities, reasoning skills, organization skills, multi-tasking skills and communications skills. Extensive knowledge of gas storage field reservoirs system design, standards, and codes. Strong construction management and project management skills.
