Position will report directly to the Vice President of Engineering. This is a growth role – not a back-fill, but the result of increased activity at the company.CSI Recruiting’s client is very active in acquisitions, which necessitates this hire. The company has private equity funding to continue their very active acquisitions program, and this role will be heavily involved in that function. You’ll work in an exciting environment, interfacing with all departments of the company, evaluating acquisition opportunities and seeing those evaluations result in closed deals!The company has a strong base of assets presently in the Permian, Eagle Ford, Rockies (DJ Basin Niobrara) and the SCOOP / STACK play in the Mid-Continent, as well as some assets in East Texas and North Louisiana.Core Responsibilities: Conduct operator and play-specific economic evaluations including reserve estimates and decline curve creation.Work closely with the Vice President of Engineering, the company’s Reservoir Engineering Technicians, the Landmen, Vice President of Geology and senior management on asset evaluations, acquisition recommendations and deal evaluation.Experience in one of the oil & gas industry asset evaluations software programs is strongly preferred – Aries, PHDwin, etcQualifications:Qualified candidates should have a BSPE (Bachelor of Science, Petroleum Engineering), in addition to 3-5 years of professional experience as a Reservoir Engineer focused on domestic (U.S.) assets. Experience can be from working in-house at an upstream oil & gas company, minerals company, consulting firm or oil & gas investment firm.Be prepared to work in a fast-paced, deal heavy environment, and expect to have your recommendations and evaluations result in REAL ACQUISITIONS.
